Hasirmukki + Holebagilu

  A weekend in my native with friends... we just don't wanted to waste it  by sitting in house. After a big discussion, we finalised to go for a drive to the Linganamukki backwater. As we got delayed.. we packed little food from each ones house and this way, a plan of small drive turned into a wonderful picnic in the end. 

Holebagilu :  Its is a beautiful place we get while going to Sigandur Chowdeswari Temple.

Holebagilu is located at a distance of 30 Km from Sagar and it is surrounded by the thick and dense forest. Holebagilu is a place of natural beauty and it is situated in Kolur Grama Panchayat Limits. The meaning of Holebagilu in Kannada language is River Gate.

You need to take a diversion from B H Road towards Ikkeri Road to reach Holebagilu. One need to cross the huge, long back water of Sharavathi using the barge or Launch (Ferry) to reach Sigandur via Holebagilu. It is exciting to travel by barge in the vast back water of River Sharavathi with so many islands created by it.

Hasirmukki : We kind of got bored with this place and headed towards the unexplored Hasirmukki backwater

Shabari malai

A trip to shabari malai... All this started on one fine day, when my colleague Chandru and i were doing the usual work in our office i.e. "kala harate" :) After finishing all the subjects we both knew, suddenly the talk turned its way to Shabari malai. Chandru has already been to this place twice and this was his third time... At that moment, without any planning or prep, i requested him to enquire if he can get a seat for me in this trip. Its always true that,things which are unplanned.. executes faster than things what we plan to do... and in the same way, plans to shabari malai finalized without much problems.
